Job opening: Research Associate x2 – Digital Humanities and Oral History

Closing Date: 28 Nov 2023

We are seeking to appoint two Research Associates to support the Centre’s research in the history of nineteenth and twentieth century Hong Kong. Established in 2022, this new globally recognised hub for the study of Hong Kong, not only promotes and increases the international profile of Hong Kong history as a scholarly field, but also nurtures and invests in emerging talent in the field. It facilitates public engagement and outreach to raise public awareness of the history of the city and its global relations, and has launched a Hong Kong Historical Archives initiative, actively building a visual and textual archival collection of material relating to the history of the city.

The postholders will be core members of this exciting new initiative. One will bring oral history experience and skills to the Centre, and the other will undertake digital humanities research.
